Unfortunately, we had a flood in the basement of our offices. We were lucky enough to find Flood Service Canada available on a Saturday to come out and provide emergency restoration services. Chad and his team were professional and efficient. They removed all the standing water, cut out the affected drywall, sprayed the area for mould, tested for moisture, and left fans and dehumidifiers running for several days to ensure the area was dry. Our insurance company even commented on the basement's condition, stating how clean and professional the work looked. I hope we don't need them again, but if we do, we will call Chad at FSC. I called Flood Services Canada at 11 in the evening due to our basement drain backed up after a heavy rainfall. I didnt want any flooding issues and wanted to avoid possible flooding. Chad asked me questions about the leak and mentioned we may be looking for a plumber for the issue, since their company deals with emergency flooding. I was flooded on Friday late afternoon, Moe and his crew arrived in approximately 2 hours and saved my house. He provided a quote, moved appliances, climbed into tight spaces, helped remove flooded belongings, conducted mould mitigation and set up a bunch of equipment to mitigate the water damage; all with the utter respect and concideration for my home. Severe rain collapsed my roof and ceiling. First General Flood Services was utilized through my renter's insurance to help us through the cleanup process. They packed all of our belongings in our 2BDR house, moved it to a temporary site, and moved it all back when we were ready. As a person who's never used services like this, I was incredibly impressed at their swiftness, convenience and professionalism. We had less than a week vacate and it was so helpful that during this stressful time, I didn't have to worry about our belongings. They packed EVERYTHING: my family's clothing, the flat screen TV, the dishes, even the Ikea cabinet that is bracketed to the wall. And after 30 days when the work was done, they brought everything back as if nothing had happened, just a book or two on the wrong shelf. Sewers started backing up during the evening of a bad storm day. I was desperate, and my usual plumber didn't return my call. I called this business not knowing anything about them. I was lucky. The telephone was answered, my problem was understood, and they were available the next day after the plumber (who they referred) was finished. They showed up each day for several weeks to complete the clean-up and disinfection process. I am completely satisfied with the work done. I can't evaluate value because I did no cost comparison, but, given the man-hours deployed, I have no reason to feel the cost unfair.read more

Outstanding service from Flood Services Canada – I strongly recommend calling them for any emergency flood service needs. We discovered a leak in our basement after some heavy rainfall… we had a grading issue on our property and it turns out our Oakville home was built over a water table. I called Flood Services Canada and Chad personally came to my home within hours. He assessed the situation, took infrared photos of my entire basement to identify the origin of the leak, and walked me through every single component of the interior restoration work required. He provided me with a clear itemized quote, and was gracious enough to speak with my mother who is a home inspector and former restoration project manager herself. His approach and process got her stamp of approval, and he started work the next day. He was on site throughout the project to provide complete oversight of his crew, kept in full contact with me before and after each visit to my home, and continued to keep me informed through each step of the demo and restoration in my basement. Chad’s experience and professionalism gave me complete comfort during an extremely stressful time, and I’m so grateful for his attention to detail. Most homeowners have nowhere to start and are at the mercy of strangers to advise on how to manage the impact of a flood or leak and need to blindly trust things are being handled properly. The company quickly dispatched Desiree and staff to deal with the sewage backup. They were friendly and professional.
